Eligibility
This promotion is open to residents of the United States and Canada who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Void in Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Quebec, and where prohibited or restricted by law.
Entrants must be the rightful owner of the submission or must have the rights, title, and interest necessary to utilize the submission for the Contest in compliance with these Official Rules.
Entries on behalf of a minor.
The Beginner Pumpkin category is intended for children and beginning carvers. A pumpkin carved by a minor may be entered in that category only by a parent or legal guardian who is at least eighteen (18) years of age. That parent or legal guardian is the entrant for all purposes under these Official Rules, must submit the entry in his or her own name, is solely responsible for executing all Prize Claim Documents, and is the recipient of any prize awarded. The minor must be the primary creator of the carved pumpkin. Adult supervision during carving is encouraged.
Officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives of Signature Brands, LLC (the "Sponsor") and its promotional partners and their respective parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries, participating advertising and promotion agencies (and members of their immediate families and/or those living in the same household as each such employee) may participate in the Contest but are not eligible to win any prizes.
Winners of the Pumpkin Masters Pumpkin Carving Contest in the past two years may participate in the Contest but are not eligible to win any prizes.

Contest Categories
1. Best Use of Lighting.
Let your carving shine. Pumpkins must be carved, but how you illuminate the design is entirely up to you. Use colorful lights, layered lighting, projections, flickering effects, or other creative techniques to enhance the carved pattern. Judging will focus on how effectively the lighting transforms the pumpkin and brings the design to life.
2. Master Carver.
For the artists who take pumpkin carving to the next level. This category celebrates highly detailed, technically impressive carvings created from an original design. Judges will consider precision, difficulty, depth, texture, creativity, and overall craftsmanship.
3. Pumpkin Display.
Turn your front porch into a Halloween showstopper. Create a complete outdoor display featuring one or more carved pumpkins as the stars of the scene. Props, decorations, lighting, and special effects are encouraged. Judging will be based on creativity, presentation, Halloween atmosphere, and how well the carved pumpkins are incorporated into the overall display.
4. Beginner Pumpkin.
Every master carver has to start somewhere. This category is designed for children and beginner carvers who are still learning the tricks of the trade. Designs can be simple, silly, spooky, or completely imaginative. Adult supervision is encouraged, but the child should be the primary creator of the pumpkin. See the Eligibility section above for how entries on behalf of a minor must be submitted.
5. Most Original Pattern.
Show us something we've never seen before. Submissions must feature an original design rather than a pattern copied from a book, kit, or online template. Sketch it, carve it, and make it completely your own.
6. You Tried! #NailedIt.
Maybe the pattern was harder than expected. Maybe the pumpkin had other plans. Either way, we want to see it. This lighthearted category celebrates the carvings that didn't turn out exactly as imagined. Whether you gave up halfway through or ended up with a hilarious surprise, submit what you've got and be proud that you tried.
7. Halloween Spirit Award.
Keep the classic jack-o'-lantern tradition glowing. This category celebrates the best traditional carved pumpkin featuring the iconic faces, expressions, and spooky charm that define Halloween. Whether it's mischievous, cheerful, or downright frightening, the winning pumpkin should capture the nostalgic spirit of Halloween night.
Selection Criteria
During the Judging Period, all winners will be selected by a judging panel of select Sponsor employees, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
The panel will select one (1) Grand Prize winner and one (1) Runner Up winner from all eligible entries across all categories, judged on creativity, technical execution, and overall impact.
The panel will select one (1) category winner in each of the seven (7) Contest Categories, judged against the criteria described for that category above.
One prize per entrant.
No entrant may win more than one prize. If an entrant is selected for more than one prize, that entrant will receive only the prize of the highest value, and an alternate winner will be selected for the remaining prize at the Sponsor's sole discretion.
All Contest entries must meet the Submission Content Guidelines outlined below in order to be selected as winners. The Sponsor has the sole discretion to determine whether the winners meet the Submission Content Guidelines. Odds of winning depend on the number of Contest submissions received.
The Prizes
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive $2,500.
One (1) Runner Up winner will receive $1,000.
Seven (7) category winners, one (1) in each Contest Category, will each receive a $100 gift card to a retailer selected by the Sponsor, plus a prize package of Pumpkin Masters products. The approximate retail value of each prize package is $25. The approximate retail value of each category prize is $125. Gift cards are subject to the terms and conditions of their issuer.
The approximate retail value of each monetary prize is the face value of the prize. The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $4,375.
Each potential winner will be notified via email and shall be required to respond to the email within forty-eight (48) hours of the notification being sent. Failure to respond within forty-eight (48) hours may result in forfeiture of the applicable prize. If the applicable prize goes unclaimed, or a potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines the applicable prize for any reason prior to its award, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
Potential winners will be required to verify his or her address and to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where imposing such condition is permitted by law) a publicity release, and other prize releases (collectively, the "Prize Claim Documents") covering eligibility, liability, advertising, publicity, and media appearance issues. Where an entry has been submitted on behalf of a minor, the submitting parent or legal guardian must execute all Prize Claim Documents. A prize will not be awarded or fulfilled until all such properly executed documents are returned.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will attempt to reach up to three (3) potential winners of each prize in accordance with the above procedure, after which a prize may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone not fully complying with the Official Rules.
No substitutes are permitted. ALL TAXES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH WINNER. Any expenses incurred, whether or not specified herein, are the responsibility of the winner. All prizes are awarded without warranty, express or implied, of any kind.
